More than 8 million babies born from IVF since the world's first in 1978

(European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) Forty years after the birth of Louise Brown, the world's first test-tube baby, an international committee monitoring progress in assisted reproduction reports today that the global total of babies born as a result of IVF and other advanced fertility treatments is 'more than 8 million.'
