Impact of lung function on bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome and outcome after allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation with reduced intensity conditioning

Pulmonary dysfunction is one of the major causes of non-relapse mortality in patients undergoing allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo-HCT). It requires a wide differential diagnosis and has been linked to chemotherapy toxicity, irradiation, infections, immune-induced injury by Graft-versus-Host-Disease (GvHD) and restrictive lung diseases [1,2].
