New multidetector computed tomography quantitative technique in evaluation of shoulder instability
Conclusion MDCT is an optimal imaging modality in preoperative evaluation of glenoid and humeral head bone loss. It is the most accurate radiologic method in evaluating the new concepts of on-track and off- track Hill-Sachs lesions.
Conclusions3-dimensional printing technique-assisted arthroscopic bone graft and fixation of scaphoid nonunion constitute an effective and accurate clinical treatment option.

AbstractPurposeThe purpose of the study was to determine the change in the graft bending angles at the femoral and tibial tunnel aperture in single-bundle posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) reconstruction. It was hypothesized that different knee flexion and different tunnel directions may affect changes of the femoral and tibial graft bending angle.MethodsThe right knees of 12 male subjects were scanned with a high-resolution computed tomography scanner at 4 different knee flexion angles (0 °, 45°, 90° and 135°). To begin with, the 3D knee models were created and manipulated with the use of several modeling ...
ConclusionsPartial lateral meniscus anterior root injury during anatomical single-bundle ACL reconstruction was suspected in 18% of cases. Patient height and the distance between bony landmarks were significantly shorter in the injury group than in the intact group. Surgeons should understand that even a slight deviation of the tibial tunnel position can lead to partial lateral meniscus anterior root injury in patients with small skeletons.Level of evidenceIV.
We present an informative case of bucket handle meniscus tear after acute traumatic knee injury that was diagnosed on CT and later confirmed on arthroscopy.
ConclusionsThis study found an asymmetrical inclination between medial and lateral condyles. This may be related to the asymmetrical motion of the knee, which is known as medial pivot motion. This finding provides valuable morphological information and may be useful for implant designs for total knee arthroplasty.Level of evidenceIV.
This study aimed to identify factors associated with rotational mismatch after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) using fixed-bearing posterior stabilized prosthesis and to evaluate the impact of the rotational mismatch on clinical outcomes.MethodsThis retrospective cohort study included 159 cases that underwent TKA. Whole-leg computed tomography images were obtained 2 weeks after TKA, with three-dimensional measures of alignment. Rotational alignment of the femoral and tibial components and rotational mismatch between components and between the femur and tibia bones were evaluated. The new Knee Society Score (KSS) was obtained...
ConclusionsThe rate of union at 3 months after an arthroscopic Latarjet with double-button fixation was 64%, reaching 93% at 1 year. This procedure should be carefully indicated in case of tobacco use or instability without glenoid bone defect, especially when the shoulder is exposed to high-energy trauma in the early phase after surgery.
To evaluate the effect of the location of the femoral tunnel on 3-dimensional (3D) computed tomography (CT) upon the postoperative tunnel widening after anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions.
Conclusions: This study demonstrates that the clavicle hook plate reduces AC joint dislocation or distal clavicle fractures anatomically, has supra-physiologic mechanical strength, does not cause bony impingement, and exhibits rotator cuff impingement only with maximal abduction/forward flexion of the shoulder.
