Partners HealthCare to dump Blue Cross as insurer for its own employees

Partners HealthCare, the state ’s largest employer, sent a letter to employees Tuesday telling them that it will switch their health insurance from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts to its own plan as of next year. The change will move some 100,000 employees now insured through Blue Cross to Neighborhood Health Plan, whi ch Partners has owned since 2012.
