A Retrospective Study of Local, Regional and Distant Control from Accelerated Partial Breast Irradiation (APBI) in a Community Hospital Environment
Patients that have a local resection of early stage breast cancer are frequently treated with high dose rate brachytherapy utilizing APBI. The bulk of the current data for APBI treatments are based solely on large academic centers. Therefore this study looks retrospectively at the local, regional, and distant control of all patients in a community hospital setting upon completion of the APBI treatment.
