Three KanCare contracts awarded
Three health insurance companies have been awarded contract to provide coverage plans for people enrolled in Kansas ’ Medicaid program.
The Kansas Department of Health& Environment announced Friday that Sunflower State Health Plan Inc., United Healthcare Midwest Inc. (NYSE:UNH) and Aetna Better Health of Kansas, Inc. (NYSE: AET) have been named managed care organizations (MCOs) that will serve Medicaid. That program is administered through an entity called KanCare.
