Providence slapped with $7M suit from patient 'too large' for the MRI machine
A patient who was too large to fit inside an MRI and was initially sent home has filed a $7 million medical negligence lawsuit against Providence Health& Services.
Lawrence Jackson claims that he was treated at Providence St. Vincent Hospital on Sept. 12, 2016 by Dr. Thomas Calverley. Jackson had complained of mid-to-lower back pain, a sharp ache, 100.4-degree temperature, elevated pulse and blood pressure, chills and appetite loss, according to the suit, wh ich was filed June 1 in Multnomah County…
