This study integrated the data of formula components, all types of biomolecules in the human body, and nonexpressed protein in breast cancer cells and constructed the breast cancer cell network and the biological network that SWT acted on the breast cancer-related targets by Entity Grammar System (EGS). Biological network showed 59 bioactive components acting on 15 breast cancer-related targets. The antibreast cancer mechanisms were summarized by enrichment analysis: regulation of cell death, response to hormone stimulation, response to organic substance, regulation of phosphorylation of amino acids, regulation of cell pro...

Abstract Results: The VMAT plans showed superior to PTV dose conformity index (CI), homogeneity index (HI), protection of the ipsilateral lung, monitor units (MUs), and maximum dose (Dmax) to the contralateral breast compared with TSP and 9FIMRT plans. The TSP provided better protection for Dmean of the heart and left ventricle (p

Abstract Breast cancer is the most diagnosed cancer among women around the world. The development of computer-aided diagnosis tools is essential to help pathologists to accurately interpret and discriminate between malignant and benign tumors. This paper proposes the development of an automated proliferative breast lesion diagnosis based on machine-learning algorithms. We used Tabu search to select the most significant features. The evaluation of the feature is based on the dependency degree of each attribute in the rough set. The categorization of reduced features was built using five machine-learning algorithms....

Abstract Breast cancer initiation is closely associated with cytokines that can change the inflammatory tumor microenvironment. Compounds extracted from plants have been explored for the possibility of cancer treatment in the recent decades. Berberine is an isoquinoline plant alkaloid with remarkable antioxidant and anti-inflammation roles, which is used in ethnic medicines, including traditional Chinese and North American medicine. In the present study, we investigated the effects of berberine on the malignant tumor cell behaviors in a breast cell line, MDA-MB-231. We found that berberine could not influence the ...

Genomic instability can be observed at both chromosomal and chromatin levels. Instability at the macro level includes centrosome abnormalities (CA) resulting in numerical as well as structural chromosomal changes, whereas instability at the micro level is characterized by defects in DNA repair pathways resulting in microsatellite instability (MIN) or mutations. Genomic instability occurs during carcinogenesis without impairing survival and growth, though the precise mechanisms remain unclear. Solid tumors arising from most cells of epithelial origin are characterized by genomic instability which renders them resistant to c...

CONCLUSION: While YouTube is an important source of information regarding breast cancer, few videos contain a significant amount of quality information and many of the videos contain false or misleading statements. In an area where patients are often scared and searching for answers, there is a significant need for more high-quality videos to educate patients and dispel myths and pseudoscience.
