Planned movements and spontaneous reactions are processed differently in the brain

(Deutsches Primatenzentrum (DPZ)/German Primate Center) Scientists from the German Primate Center - Leibniz Institute for Primate Research (DPZ) have been able to show in their recently published study of two rhesus monkeys that planned and spontaneous gripping movements have the same brain activity during the movement but that the preceded brain activity differs.
