Reading risk behavior in the brain

(Friedrich-Schiller-Universitaet Jena) Anxious people take fewer risks -- in itself this is not a surprising observation. However, a team of psychologists from the University of Jena, together with partners from W ü rzburg (Gerrmany) and Victoria (Canada) have succeeded in making this decision process visible in the brain, allowing them to predict the behaviour of individuals. To this end, they conducted an experiment to measure the risk behaviour of participants while using electroencephalography (EEG) to observe their brain activity.
