Investment firm with Frist ties raises $1.1 billion

Cressey& Company LP, a health care-focused private investment firm, has closed on two new funds totaling $1.1 billion. The firm, based in Chicago, opened in Nashville in 2008 and counts former U.S. Sen. Bill Frist as a partner.
