Discussion/conclusionThe study hypothesis was confirmed: there were no differences according to primary versus secondary osteoarthritis in preoperative profile or results. Elbow osteoarthritis entails mechanical impingement. Arthroscopic debridement gave good results independently of primary or post-traumatic etiology.Level of evidenceIII, prospective comparative observational multicenter cohort study.

This study is registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, number NCT02400463, and is still recruiting.FindingsAs of Feb 7, 2019, five patients had been enrolled. The first patient was enrolled in February, 2016. No deaths were recorded, with a median follow-up of 490 days (IQR 190–1075). 2-month overall survival was 100% (95% CI 57–100). Regarding response, resolution of symptoms (either partial or complete) and disease-associated laboratory abnormalities was observed in all five patients. Cytopenias improved in all patients within the first week of treatment, leading to relatively rapid transfusion independence, disco...

CONCLUSIONS: The observed symptomatic differences may be an additional factor of MDD/DB differential diagnosis. Lower than previously reported symptoms stability highlights the need to evaluate more than one depressive episode in differential diagnosis. PMID: 31522204 [PubMed - in process]

We examined the CTNNB1 and APC sequence and found an A-to-G transition at codon 41 of CTNNB1, i.e., Thr was substituted by Ala. Our findings suggest that the dysregulation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is related to the tumorigenesis of some cases of DFB. This hypothesis indicates that there are some cases of DFB in which nuclear positive expression of β-catenin are useful for diagnosis.

Treatment with anti-IL-6 or anti-IL-6R agents seems to alleviate allodynia and hyperalgesia, so it may be a valid option when treating ...
