Combination of ultrasound and newly synthesized magnetic nanocapsules affects the temperature profile of CT26 tumors in BALB/c mice
Conclusion Data presented in this study would be helpful to develop an ultrasound-mediated MDT procedure so that temperature changes of the tumor and its surrounding normal tissues may be controllable.
Conclusion: A preganglionic cervical nerve root avulsion should not be a contraindication for a stellate ganglion block in a patient with established CRPS. PMID: 33024600 [PubMed]
We report the imaging and clinical manifestations of a case of GMPC. Patient concerns: The case reported here relates to a 71-year-old man who complained of urination frequency and excessive urination at night. He underwent computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examination before surgery, both tests revealed a mass body in the prostate. Diagnosis: Ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration was performed and a diagnosis of GMPC was made by histological examination. Interventions: The patient received radical pelvic tumor resection successfully. Outcomes: Two months after surgery, the follow...
This study aims to compare SBIs, deep white matter lesions (DWMLs), and periventricular white matter lesions (PWMLs) in ipsilateral and contralateral hemispheres to internal carotid artery (ICA) stenosis, and investigate their association with stenosis grade in patients with asymptomatic ≥ 50% unilateral extracranial ICA stenosis. Patients without previous history of stroke and/or transient ischemic attack who had ≥ 50% stenosis in unilateral ICA on carotid color Doppler ultrasound were enrolled in the study. Patient demographics, vascular risk factors and ICA stenosis grades; number, loc...
This study explored the hip medial ultrasonography method and anatomic structure sonograms. Twenty-eight children with DDH were enrolled. A total of 51 hips (24 left hips /27 right hips) were measured, including 30 affected hips and 21 normal hips. Various indices, including femoral head diameter (DIA), triradiate cartilage –femoral distance (TFD), acetabular–femoral distance (AFD) and ilium–femoral distance (IFD), were measured in the acetabular median coronal plane of ultrasound and the median coronal plane of MRI.
CONCLUSIONS: In fetuses with congenital CMV infection showing no anomalies on both US and MRI, the risk of adverse postnatal outcome is lower compared to what reported from previously published literature not considering the role of antenatal imaging assessment. The findings from this study can enhance prenatal counselling of pregnancies with congenital CMV infection with normal prenatal imaging. This article is protected by copyright. All rights reserved. Abstract Placental adhesion disorder encompasses the various types of abnormal placentation that occur when the chorionic villi penetrate the uterine wall. Placenta accreta has become more common, mainly because of the increasing rates of cesarean section. Although ultrasound is the first-line imaging modality for evaluation of the placenta, it plays a limited role in cases of posterior placenta accreta and inconclusive findings. In such cases, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is indicated, mainly because it is a more accurate means of identifying placental invasion of extrauterine structures in high-risk pregnant women. I...
CONCLUSIONS: The intraprocedurally application of EOB-MRI/US FI to determine ablation scope according to HBP findings is feasible and beneficial for prognosis of RFA. PMID: 32996799 [PubMed - in process]
CONCLUSIONS: No significant difference was found in the detection of CSPC between TB and SB; however, both techniques revealed substantial added value and combination of TB and SB could further improve this detection rate without increasing the detection of CIPC. CONCLUSION: Reliable exact prenatal level determination by US and MRI is not possible. However, the prenatal determination of the anatomical level of the lesion is good within one level margin of error. Prenatal US as well as MRI demonstrate a systematic error towards higher levels. The above considerations must be integrated into prenatal counselling. PMID: 33007788 [PubMed - as supplied by publisher]
Conclusions Diffusion-weighted imaging was more sensitive than magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography, whereas those used in combination resulted in increased sensitivity.
