Dr äger to Unveil New Safety Technologies for Firefighters at FDIC

Houston – Today Dräger announced it will unveil patented technology that for the first time can alarm when the combined smoke-borne gases HCN and CO, known as the ‘toxic twins’ are present. The company will also demonstrate a new hands-free team commmunication system and live burns on demand at its mobile trainer. “Based on more than one hundred years of serving firefighters in North America and around the world, Dräger continually creates new technologies to advance firefighter safety,” said Lothar Thielen, President and Regional CEO, Dräger North America. “This year at FDIC, we are excited to present our latest innovations, including our patented ‘toxic twins’ combined alarm technology and our most requested SCBA Packages, for which we will offer a free  upgrade to the 2018 NFPA standards."   Confidence Maze tests agility Back by popular demand, the Dräger booth will feature its Confidence Maze. “This structure gives firefighters the opportunity to try out our SCBAs in a real-world situation and test their agility by crawling through tight places,” explains Thielen.
