Mo1271 ARE WE OVER-USING PANCREATICO-BILIARY ENDOSCOPIC ULTRASOUND AS A DIAGNOSTIC TOOL?

Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) is increasingly used to investigate conditions that pose a diagnostic challenge e.g. a single episode of unexplained acute pancreatitis (AP), dilated common bile duct (CBD) and several abdominal pain syndromes. However, data on the utility of EUS for such indications is scarce. Our aim is to investigate the diagnostic yield of EUS in a tertiary referral unit and, uniquely, its effect on clinical outcome.
