A Comparison of the Conditioning Regimens BEAM and FEAM for Autologous Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation in Lymphoma: an Observational Study on Patients From Fondazione Italiana Linfomi (Fil).
The first series of patients transplanted with autologous marrow for lymphomas was reported in 1978, using the BACT (Carmustine [BCNU]-Citarabine-Cyclophosphamide-Thioguanine) regimen.1 Many variants were derived from the same chemotherapy backbone, among which the BCNU-Etoposide-Citarabine-Melphalan (BEAM) regimen, first reported in 1986.2
