Cook Medical receives FDA approval for gastrointestinal medical device

Cook Medical has received FDA approval to market in the U.S. a device known as Hemospray that treats gastrointestinal bleeding. The device was developed at Cook's Winston-Salem operations, where the company employs 640 people and ranks as the Triad's sixth-largest life science employer.
