Statistician Credit for Collaboration Requires Extending the Number of Cited Authors in Research Publications
Statisticians collaborate with colleagues to provide advice on research. Most journals shorten the cited author list to save space. Statisticians are short-changed when it comes to proper recognition in the citations of published papers. Some journals cite First 3 authors, et al., First 6 authors, et al., and a few First 30, et al.
