GRID 2018: Global Report on Internal Displacement

Norwegian Refugee Council, Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre. 05/2018 This 120-page report explores why so many countries still struggle with internal displacement despite 20 years of international, regional, and national policy efforts and investments. It details the global displacement landscape, including new displacement by conflict and disasters; progress made in reducing internal displacement; and filling the data gaps. Some of the highest levels of displacement associated with disasters came as a result of tropical cyclones, including Hurricanes Harvey, Irma, and Maria, and a series of typhoons in South and East Asia and Pacific.
