Parties Dispute Amount Of Lead Paint Abatement Fund In California Lawsuit

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - The former makers of lead paint and the municipalities that sued those companies alleging that they are responsible for a public nuisance that was created by the presence of lead paint each filed briefs in California state court on April 17 making separate arguments for the recalculation of the abatement fund (California v. ConAgra Grocery Products Company, et al., No. 00-CV-788657, Calif. Super., Santa Clara Co.).
