Changing characteristics of a Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre. An eight year follow-up study.

CONCLUSIONS: The significant reduction in aggression, the use of prn medication and the number of people with longer stays within the PECC support the usefulness of PECCs in relation to patient satisfaction and adherence to admission criteria policy.
