Implementation of Supervised Exercise Therapy for Peripheral Artery Disease: Practical Strategies from Clinical Experience

In the wake of a new coverage determination from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for reimbursement for supervised exercise therapy for patients with symptomatic peripheral artery disease (PAD), there is a need to develop best practices for development and implementation of supervised exercise therapy programs for this patient population. In order to be successful, it will be necessary to translate the knowledge gained from 25 years of rigorous research into the' real world' of clinical practice.
