UCSF strike begins, disrupting surgeries, cancer care and other treatments

More than 10,000 UCSF employees began a three-day strike today, requiring the medical center ’s hospitals to reschedule surgeries as well as cancer care and other life-saving treatments. The strike will be felt throughout the entire UC system, but in San Francisco the disruptions will hit at UCSF Health, Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center and the UCSF Dental Cent er.
