Fibrin clot lysis assay: Establishment of a reference interval
Owing to the multiple steps in coagulation and fibrinolysis, there is an increasing interest in the use of global dynamic fibrin clot lysis assays to evaluate both coagulation and fibrinolysis in the same test [1]. Thus, an increasing number of research laboratories use fibrin clot lysis assays to evaluate fibrin clot properties in different patient populations, e.g. patients with atherothrombosis, type 2 diabetes or in patients with intracranial bleeding [1,2].
