CONCLUSION: Outcomes were excellent compared with those reported in other treatment settings. Rates of smoking cessation were also notable. The treatment of comorbid psychiatric conditions, the setting to develop a strong physician-patient relationship, patients choosing whether to taper off of buprenorphine, and the slow rate of taper all likely contributed to successful outcomes. Conclusions Children with ASD and children with DLD face difficulties in linguistic pragmatics tasks, in keeping with their structural language. Children with ASD face exceptional difficulties with social pragmatics tasks, due to their difficulties with ToM. This study identifies a trend in their prevalence and incidence, using nationwide population-based data to analyze the characteristics of children with DDs in Korea. The prevalence of DDs steadily increased by more than four times (from 0.6 to 2.5) from 2003 to 2017. Boys had higher incidence than girls throughout the period, during which the gap increased from 19.1 to 31.4%. The incidence also increased by the size of city and medical insurance quartile. Conclusions Study results suggest that the morphosyntactic profiles of children with DLD and children with LD-ASD are not significantly different. This study examined lifetime medical and psychiatric morbidity reported by caregivers of 2917 autistic adults participating in the US research cohort SPARK. Participants were 78.4% male, 47.3% had intellectual disability, and 32.1% had persistent language impairments. ConclusionThis report, along with other recent observations, suggests the hypothesis that the BP region comprised between BP3 and BP5 in chromosome 15q13 is involved in several brain human dysfunctions, including impairment of the language development and, its deletion, may be directly or indirectly responsible for the speech delay and language deficit in the affected individuals.
