Conclusions: In the largest study to date of symptomatic individuals under 50 years of age undergoing colonoscopy in the USA, advanced CRN was most often detected in the distal colon and was associated with anemia, but not with abnormal bowel habits or abdominal pain. We also found that patients with CRN under 50 years of age were more likely to be male, smokers, and obese. These findings should prompt further investigation of these risk factors alone and in combination.

In this study, we conducted a pharmacokinetic analysis of tapentadol (TP) in Japanese patients with cancer pain and identified covariates influencing pharmacokinetic parameters. In addition, the analgesic effects and adverse effects of TP were investigated. Data were collected from in-patients with cancer pain who had been administered TP as an extended-release formula. The median (range) estimated clearance (CL/F) and distribution volume (Vd/F) of TP were 86.7 (31.3-213.7) L/h and 1288 (189-6736) L, respectively. There was a strong negative correlation between CL/F and age, Child-Pugh score, and albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) s...

CONCLUSIONS: Extra-thoracic metastases of thymoma are exceptional but their existence should not be overlooked. Their management is not standardised because of lack of data in the literature. Though surgical excision in oligo-metastatic subjects is a frequently reported therapeutic option, a radiotherapeutic approach, particularly in cerebral situations, could be a credible alternative.
