241 Prevalence of dementia in psoriasis patients: A cross-sectional study in a large US population
Of interest, the association of dementia (D) and bullous pemphigoid is well-known, but there is a paucity of literature regarding D association with other inflammatory dermatological conditions. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of D in psoriasis patients in a large US patient population by searching a medical record data repository (>5 million patients). The study cohort consisted of all adults aged 40-89 years with a diagnosis of D (all subtypes from Jan 2001 to Nov 2017). ICD9 and ICD10 codes were used to detect psoriasis: 696.1, L40.0, L40.1, L40.2, L40.3, and L40.4; and D: 290, 294, 331, F01, F02, F03, G30, and G31.
