Linear IgA dermatosis: An atypical manifestation of a rare disease

A 7-year-old girl was evaluated in the Pediatric Dermatology Department for pruritic skin lesions with one week duration. The lesions began in the neck region progressing to the trunk and upper limbs, sparing the lower body. There were no other symptoms associated. Contact with animals and sick people and trips to endemic sites were denied. Physical examination showed an erythematous and confluent urticariform rash, predominantly in the trunk (Fig.  1 – Panel A). Face and retroauricular region also revealed agglomerated vesicles and small bullous lesions with serous content(Fig. 1 – Panel B).
