Study Finds 22 Percent Decrease in Opioid Prescriptions

Opioid prescriptions in the United States decreased 22 percent between 2013 and 2017, according to a new study from the IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science. The AAFP and AMA are contributing to solutions with a new resource advocating for medication-assisted treatment that family physicians can use.
