The prefrontal and auditory tRNS, in sequence for chronic tinnitus: a modified multisite protocol

In the last two decades, Brain stimulation has been frequently used for treating tinnitus with relatively good results; yet, many types of research are still needed to find the optimal parameters for stimulation. Transcranial electrical stimulation techniques (tES) were well developed and gained more popularity in tinnitus research especially tDCS, the transcranial direct current stimulation [1,2], while more recent studies have focused on transcranial random noise stimulation (tRNS) and highlighted its superior effects and safety [3].
