An incidental finding of a baclofen pump catheter-related colon perforation diagnosed a during routine screening colonoscopy

A 64-year-old woman with primary lateral sclerosis underwent screening colonoscopy. During the procedure, a catheter was found coming through the wall of the descending colon. The catheter was curled within the lumen before exiting through the opposite wall of the same segment of colon. A polypoid mucosa was seen at the insertion site (Fig. 1). The mucosa was not biopsied since it likely represented a walled off perforation.
