Fight against opioids impacts workers' comp spending, myMatrixx report finds
Workers ’ compensation spending on pharmaceuticals dropped 3.3 percent in 2017 compared to 2016, according to a new drug trend report from myMatrixx, a pharmacy benefits provider in Tampa.
Drug use by injured workers, including the use of opioids, also declined, the report found.
