Humana, PE firms to acquire national hospice provider for $1.4 billion
Humana Inc. and its private-equity partners in the Kindred Healthcare Inc. acquisition plan to spend $1.4 billion to acquire Curo Health Services LLC, a national hospice provider.
The consortium of Humana (NYSE: HUM), San Francisco-based TPG Capital and New York City-based Welsh, Carson, Anderson& Stowe announced in a news release Monday that Mooresville, N.C.-based Curo Health Services will be merged with Kindred At Home to create the nation's largest hospice provider.
