Clinical trial tests tattoo sensor as needleless glucose monitor for diabetes patients

(University of California - San Diego) A phase I clinical trial at UC San Diego Health is testing the accuracy of a needleless glucose monitor that adheres to the skin like a temporary tattoo to read blood sugar levels. The sensor was developed by University of California San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering researchers.
