Roswell Park plans $5.8M renovation
Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is working on a plan to relocate a specialty care unit to better accommodate acute patients.
The hospital has filed plans with the state to move its 14-bed Intermediate Medical Care Unit (IMCU) up to the eighth floor, adjacent to its intensive care unit. Roswell expects the total cost for the project to be $5.8 million.
Patients generally go to the IMCU after surgery when they need close monitoring, but not at the higher level found in an ICU.
