U.S. Department of Education. 08/25/2017 This one-hour webinar discusses how K-12 schools and districts can better plan to recover from emergency events and be ready for a range of threats and hazards. Presenters share lessons learned from the 2014 Washington Oso landslide, Washington wildfires, Marysville-Pilchuck High School active shooter situation, and the Moore, Oklahoma, tornado in 2013. They focus on the four recovery components of academics; physical and structural business functions; and social, emotional, and behavioral recovery, including psychological first aid.
