Tandem inks distro deal in Italy for insulin pump

Tandem Diabetes Care (NSDQ:TNDM) has signed a distribution deal with Movi SpA to commercialize Tandem’s t:slim X2 insulin pump in Italy. The San Diego, Calif.-based company said today that Movi is slated to run sales, marketing and customer training for Tandem’s products in Italy, according to the terms of the agreement. We present the case of a patient with diabetes showing minimal perturbations of liver function tests, but for whom a simple blood fibrosis test suggested the presence of advanced liver fibrosis. The patient was referred to a hepatologist who confirmed the diagnosis using a specialized blood test and transient elastography. In this study, we demonstrated that metformin could inhibit the RA-FLS proliferation in dose- and time-dependent manner. Our cell viability MTT test and 5-ethynyl-2-deoxyuridine incorporation assay showed that metformin inhibited the RA-FLSs proliferation with a time- and concentration-dependent increase.
