Family reaches $500K settlement with VA Medical Center

The family of a man who died after having a reaction to an antibiotic reached a half-million-dollar settlement with the Kansas City VA Medical Center. Craig Beemer told The Kansas City Star that he and his brother reached the settlement in a case against the Kansas City VA center. They sued the medical center after their father, John Beemer, died after suffering a severe reaction to the antibiotic Ceftriaxone.
