I don't think Dignitas actually has doctors. They get input from doctors, as they need a prescription for the lethal drugs and because you must have a physical illness for it to be legal, but i don't think it requires any specialist knowledge per se.
Palliative care is the speciality involved with managing end of life including in the UK. It is also done by junior doctors all the time. Whilst euthanasia is illegal, you are allowed to stop treatments, and give treatments to help control symptoms like pain or nausea, even if you think giving said treatments might shorten someone's life.
