Pd09-11 evaluation of testicular sperm extraction and testis histology in gender affirming surgery patients

Patients undergoing gender affirming surgery (GAS) from male to female may consider future fertility. However, little is known regarding spermatogenesis potential in these patients treated with estrogen supplementation therapy (EST). Sperm production is androgen dependent, and EST may affect spermatogenesis and maturation. Furthermore, there is scant literature regarding the testicular changes after EST. There is also no published literature assessing the role of testicular sperm extraction (TESE) at the time of GAS.
