Mp22-14 does spacing organs at risk (spaceoartm) placement aqeduately provide uniform prostate-rectum separation?

SpaceOARTM hydrogel (Augmentix, Inc. Burlington, MA) is a polyethylene glycol hydrogel injected into Denonvillier ′s space prior to external beam radiation therapy (EBRT) for prostate cancer to limit rectal toxicity. Intraoperative transrectal ultrasound visualizes placement of the gel. This is confirmed with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) prior to EBRT. SpaceOARTM relies on uniform lift of the prostate awa y from the rectum to reduce rectal toxicity. This novel descriptive study analyzes the distribution of SpaceOARTM relative to the prostate.
