Pd25-04 robotic kidney transplantation: bakirkoy experience
There is a great shift through laparoscopic and robotic surgeries, as open surgery have almost faded except for some key interventions, such as kidney transplantation. Various authors proposed minimally invasive transplantation techniques and successful outcomes. Robotic kidney transplantation, first described by Hoznek and colleagues have been improved and partly universalized by investigators like Oberholzer and Menon. With the assistance of Dr. Rajesh Ahlawat from India, we initiated robotic kidney transplantation (RKT) in our clinic in December 2015.
