2015 Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Education and Research Organization Faculty Development Award Letter of Intent is due October 1, 2014 Complete application is due November 15, 2014 Objective To support a junior faculty member in the specialty of allergy, asthma and immunology. Funding is to support research in basic and/or clinical allergy and immunology and to promote the specialty. Sponsor Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Education and Research Organization, Inc. (ARTrust). The mission of the ARTrust is to find treatments and cures for the millions of people suffering from allergies, asthma and other immunologic diseases through funding of education and research. Amount Total is $300,000.00. Award is paid $100,000 a year for three years starting July 1, 2015. Support for the second and third year is contingent upon receipt by the ARTrust of a satisfactory annual report. The award money may be used for salary, services and supplies. Maximum salary support is $100,000 per year. Funds may not be used for institutional indirect costs. Eligibility Those faculty members who have received their faculty appointments, either Instructor or Assistant Professor, since July 1, 2011 are eligible to apply. Applicants must be associated with an allergy/immunology fellowship program or have a primary appointment in an allergy/immunology division.
