Outcomes After Left Ventricular Assist Device Implant in Patients Requiring Peri-operative Dialysis

Despite of the widespread use of left ventricular assisted devices (LVADs) as bridge to transplant or destination therapy, outcomes in patients who require concomitant dialysis is unclear. Cardiorenal syndrome is often alleviated quickly following LVAD but the initial kidney function recovery may be transient and followed by later decline.
