Out-of-Pocket Health Care Expenses for Non-Elderly Families by Income and Family Structure, 2015

Data from the Medical Expenditure Panel Survey Household Component (MEPS-HC) indicate that about one of every eight dollars spent on health care for the U.S. civilian noninstitutionalized population in 2015 was paid out of pocket by families.
