IHS Efforts to Decrease ESRD Incidence Focuses on Routine Diabetes Care

Blog post from the Indian Health Service (IHS) for National Kidney Month with resources from IHS as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). On the national level, kidney failure is rising, often caused by diabetes, but IHS and the CDC recently reported a 54% decrease in the incidence of End State Renal Disease (ESRD) among American Indian and Alaska Native people with diabetes.
