Christopher Dawes, the longstanding CEO and president at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford, announced his retirement on Tuesday. Dawes, who led the hospital through a major expansion that culminated in the December opening of a new building, told staff and colleagues in a letter that he plans to announce his retirement next week.
