A response to comments by Dr. Mohammad Alwardat on “Safety of repeated sessions of transcranial direct current stimulation: A systematic review”

We appreciate Dr Alwardat's interest in our study and comments regarding systematic reviews in general. However, we feel there is a need to respond to several points raised in this commentary. “The authors do not sufficiently follow the PICO format (P: participants, I: intervention, C: comparison, O: outcomes) … Surprisingly, the review did not clearly report the other components of inclusion criteria like comparison and outcome measures. Running a systematic review without full knowl edge about the inclusion criteria can lead to problems with assessing the validity, applicability, and comprehensiveness of the systematic review …”
