[Image from unsplash.com]From InspireMD’s new distribution deals to Kelynium’s distribution deal with a mystery partner, here are seven medtech stories we missed this week but thought were still worth mentioning. 1. InspireMD inks distribution deals in Greece, Caribbean InspireMD announced in a March 1 press release that it has signed exclusive distribution agreements with T-Vascular IKE Medical Supplies in Greece and Endo-Serv, SRL in the Caribbean. Both suppliers create high-tech medical devices for minimally-invasive procedures. Endo-Serv markets to the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Aruba, Curacao and Trinidad and Tobago. 2. iCad wins CE Mark for new digital breast tomosynthesis software iCad has received CE Mark approval for its new digital breast tomosynthesis software PowerLook Tomo Detection 2.0, according to a March 1 press release. The software is the company’s second deep-learning-based computer-aided detection software that helps radiologists manage and interpret digital breast tomosynthesis data. PowerLook Tomo Detection 2.0 is able to be used with Hologic, GE and Siemens systems. The algorithms int he system are designed to detect malignancies and determine the probability of cases having malignant findings. 3. FDA clears Meridian PM oral appliance for sleep apnea and snoring Meridian PM announced in a Feb. 27 press release that its oral appliance for treating obstructive sleep apnea and snoring has been cleared by the FDA.
