Request for Applications: Pilot Grant for Research on RASopathies Eligibility All individuals holding a faculty-level appointment at an academic institution or a senior scientific position at a non-profit institution or foundation are eligible to respond to this RFA. Research Focus: One $65,000 pilot grant is available to investigators conducting RASopathies research. The RASopathies are a group of genetic conditions caused by mutations in genes on the Ras-MAPK pathway. These conditions, including Noonan syndrome/Noonan-related conditions (NS), cardio-facio-cutaneous syndrome (CFC), and Costello syndrome (CS) share many clinical features, including developmental delay, gastrointestinal difficulties, skeletal abnormalities, hematologic abnormalities, and growth delay. The grant will be awarded to academic researchers to initiate or advance research and understanding of a treatment or cure that would impact all three conditions (NS, CFC, and CS). The research should include, but would not be limited to, growth and feeding difficulties and related gastrointestinal manifestations of the RASopathies.
